the Bracks question?

As Victoria braces the graceful withdrawal of its very successful and respected premier and his right hand man, the question lingers about the future and stability of our great state. As premier, Steve Bracks as been the most successful of his kind yet his absence reveals that he no longer has the stomach to handle the job, the job any federal politician aims to achieve in his or her career. Here we have the man in the top job in Victorian who walks away without a solid explanation, other than he now, without any clear warning signs, just doesn't feel up to it anymore. This has left many people wondering. Why does a man, who at this time in Victoria has every advantage over his opposition in the up coming election, stand down now? One obvious explanation is the uninvited circumstances of Bracks' son's drink driving history, which could wind up being potentially more threatening to Bracks' career than it already is. But still the question lingers as to the real reason behind this sudden scandal. Surely family matters can be resolved in order to uphold the top job in Victoria. Is this Bracks' way of encouraging sympathy votes from Victorians for the labor party for the next election? He has quit without creating too much problems and controversy and left the labor party looking pretty noble. Has putting family before politics created absolute success for Bracks and his labor party or has it got more people questioning the credibility of the labor party?
